Newcomer’s Club of Carmel is a social club with over 25 activities to get involved in. We have over 350 members from Carmel, Fishers, Westfield, Zionsville and North Indianapolis. Everyone is welcome, whether you are new to the area or have lived here many years.Prospective members are invited to attend monthly coffees in order get a feel for the different activity groups and meet some of our current members. FOOD & DRINK |
Welcome Coffees: Once a month we host new and prospective members to coffee at a member's home. This is a great way to be introduced to the club and meet some of our current members. Out to Lunch Bunch: Members meet for lunch at a variety of restaurants around the area. Wine Tasting: This group welcomes singles and couples to visit various wineries in the area. Monthly Luncheon and Business Meeting: Meets at the Bridgewater Country Club. This is a sit-down, served luncheon with a brief business meeting, activity or speaker, and prizes. Casual Cooks: This fun group meets in members' homes and brings a dish to pass along with a copy of the recipe to share with other participants. Prepared dishes follow a theme for that month which is chosen by the group. |

CARDS & BOARD GAMES |
There are lots of activities to choose from if you like to play games! Bridge: Everyone is welcome to party bridge and new groups are forming of every ability. Meets in members' homes. Bunco: Meets in members' homes. 3 Canasta Groups: First Canasta, Evening Canasta, 3rd Canasta. All experience levels welcome. Meets in members' homes. Mexican Train Dominoes: Meets in members' homes. 2 Euchre Groups: Bid 4 U Euchre and Euchrettes. Meets in members' homes. 2 Mahjongg Groups: Mahjongg and Monday Mahjongg. Meets at MCL Cafeteria. Friday Scrabblers: Meets at Barnes and Noble's Cafe. |
EXPLORING, CREATING, SPECIAL INTERESTS |
Afternoon Movie: Once a month avid movie watchers can get together to watch a specified movie together. The group visits afterward somewhere. Current Topics: This group meets to discuss what is going on in the world. Explore Indiana: Enjoy day trips to Indiana places of interest with other members. Family History: Join others in researching and discovering the history of your family. Last Minute Ladies: Enables you to enjoy friends at any time! Anyone can suggest an activity and put out an invitation, even with little notice. Solo Women's Group: Out to dinner, a play or concert, even polo matches are some of the fun things this group does. Stitching Divas: If you enjoy needle arts, this is the group for you. Bring you individual project to work on and enjoy the social time. Writers Club: If you don't write your story who will? A great way to learn how to write and get feedback from other writers of all levels. |
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES & SPORTS |
Golf League: 9-hole golf league held Tuesdays from the end of April through September at Pebble Brook Golf Club. The league uses Golf Genius to schedule and keep scores. Friday Walking Group: If you enjoy walking in the woods and parks this group is for you. |
