THE FOLLOWING IS A LIST OF CURRENT GROUPS THAT ARE OPEN TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE NEWCOMERS CLUB OF CARMEL. SPECIFIC INFORMATION REGARDING THE MEETING TIMES AND LOCATIONS CAN BE FOUND IN THE NEWSLETTER OR ON THE CALENDAR.

Welcome Coffees: Once a month, on the 2nd Tuesday, we host new and prospective members to coffee at a member's home. This is a great way to be introduced to the club and meet some of our current members.

Out to Lunch Bunch: On the 2nd Friday members meet for lunch at a variety of restaurants around the area.

Wine Tasting: Meets the 3rd Friday at 7 pm in members' homes. Singles and couples are welcome.

Monthly Luncheon and Business Meeting: At the Bridgewater Country Club on the 2nd or 3rd Thursday. This is a sit-down, served luncheon with a brief business meeting, activity or speaker, and prizes.

Casual Cooks: This fun group meets the 4th Wednesday at noon in members' homes. Members bring a dish to pass along with a copy of the recipe to share with other participants. Prepared dishes follow a theme for that month which is chosen by the group.

We have five book groups with various interests and choices in what kinds of books they read. 

Bibliophiles: Meets the 4th Thursday at 10 am at the Westfield Washington Library. A member volunteers to act as discussion leader for each book. Books are chosen through online voting from a pre-consolidated listing of books suggested by members in October.

Book Sisters: Meets the 4th Wednesday at 7 pm in members' homes. Books are chosen annually by vote of members.

Book Worms: Meets the first Wednesday at 10:30 am at Maple Restaurant at Fashion Mall Commons. Book selection, both fiction and non-fiction, is during the August meeting. The discussion is led by the person who suggested the book for that month. After the discussion, those interested stay for lunch.

The Library Book Club: Meets the 2nd Thursday at 6 pm. All members volunteer to host in their home, or co-host by helping with food and or drinks, or by leading the discussion of the book. Book selections are voted on in December.

Page Turners: Meets the 3rd Monday from 1-3 pm in the home of one of our members.

There are lots of activities to choose from if you like to play games!

Bridge: Everyone is welcome to party bridge and new groups are forming of every ability. Meets in members' homes.

TGIF Bridge: Meets 2nd Thursday & 4th Friday at MCL Cafeteria in Carmel. Lunch is at noon, play begins at 12:30.

Evening Bunco: Meets the 1st Thursday at 7 pm in members' homes.

First Canasta: Meets the 1st Monday at 1 pm in members' homes or at the Carmel Library. All experience levels welcome.

Evening Canasta: Meets the 2nd Wednesday at 6:30 in members' homes.

3rd Canasta: Meets the 3rd Wednesday at 1 pm in members' homes. All experience levels welcome.

Hand and Foot: A fun variation of canasta. Meets at the Nora library the 2nd or 3rd Thursday at 12:45 pm. Experienced canasta players only.

Mexican Train Dominoes: Meets the 4th Thursday at 1 pm in members' homes.

MCL Dominoes: Meets the 2nd Tuesday at MCL Cafeteria in Carmel. Lunch at noon, play begins at 1 pm. Mexican Train style dominoes.

Euchrettes: Meets the 2nd Wednesday at 1 pm in members' homes.

Bid 4 U Euchre: A fun variation of Euchre. Meets the 4th Wednesday at 1 pm in members' homes.

Mahjongg: Meets the 1st and 3rd Fridays aa 1 pm at members' homes. Experienced players only.

Monday Mahjongg: Meets 2nd and 4th Mondays at MCL Cafeteria in Carmel. Lunch and chat at 12:15, play starts at 1 pm. Open to new or experienced players.

Friday Scrabblers: Meets every Friday at 12:30 at cafe area in Barnes and Noble's in Westfield. 

Sunday Afternoon Games: Meets the 2nd Sunday at 1:30 in members' homes or at a local library. We play a variety of board and card games.

Afternoon Movie: On the last Tuesday avid movie watchers can get together to watch a specified movie together. The group visits afterward at a nearby cafe. The movie is announced the Friday before.

Current Topics: Meets the 2nd Monday at 1 pm at Old National Bank in Carmel. Any topics other than politics or religion may be discussed.

Explore Indiana: Enjoy monthly day trips to Indiana places of interest with other members. 

Family History: Join others in researching and discovering the history of your family. Meets the 1st Wednesday at 1 pm.

Last Minute Ladies: Enables you to enjoy friends at any time! Anyone can suggest an activity and put out an invitation, even with little notice.

Solo Women's Group: Meets once a month. Out to dinner, a play or concert, even polo matches are some of the fun things this group does.

Stitching Divas: If you enjoy needle arts, this is the group for you. Bring you individual project to work on and enjoy the social time. Meets the 3rd Monday at 1:30 pm in members' homes.

Golf League: 9-hole golf league held Tuesdays from the end of April through September at Pebble Brook Golf Club. The league uses Golf Genius to schedule and keep scores. 

Friday Walking Group: If you enjoy walking in the woods and parks this group is for you. Meets the 3rd Friday at 10 am.

Pickleball: Plays indoors in various courts around the area. Meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 1:30 or 2 pm.
